A huge salmonella outbreak in the United States has infected almost 200 people, precisely 181 in forty states.
The main problem is that people are getting too close to their live poultry, which means that they are not only feeding them or doing typical chores, on the contrary they are getting too close to these animals.
Some of them are even kissing their live poultry, and then you have those who are cuddling with their chickens, chicks, ducklings and ducks.
Maybe it sounds unbelievable but almost 86 percent of ninety-five people who were questioned said that they had a contact with their live poultry few days before they have become ill.
Some of them said that they brought their live poultry into their homes, and like we already said there were some people who even kissed and cuddled with their live poultry.
They probably didn’t know that they can get any disease or bacteria from them, but the truth is, if you do what they were doing, you will probably get salmonella.
You should definitely be careful about it, because salmonella is not naïve at all. According to some researches salmonella causes around 1.2 million illnesses and what is devastating is that it also causes around 450 deaths every year in the United States.
In case you have any of these symptoms (cramps, fever, diarrhea) you should visit your doctor, because these are the symptoms that you have in case you have salmonella.
In most cases people get better in few days, but sometimes it causes complications that may lead to hospitalization or even death, so be careful.
